Expertise on the design of concentrated solar collector: FRESNEL linear collectors, small parabolic trough, beam down solar concentrators.
Development of numerical codes for the design of solar concentrators and concentrated solar power plants. These codes are based on Monte Carlo Methods that deal with complex geometries, using computer graphic techniques. The main advantage of these techniques, that are meshless, is to handle large ratio scales in time and space. We have extended these techniques to heat transfer (and not only radiation) to take into account thermal heat transfer inside receivers.
The observables are determined with a precision (error bar) and sensitivity to many parameters without increasing the calculation time. This latter point is interesting for optimization issues. We also develop symbolic Monte Carlo models to produce reduced models for control-command of the processes.

ICGM-IAM
Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier, France
ICGM is increasingly using CO2 in the synthesis of monomers and polymers, either as C1 building block for instance in the preparation of biobased carbonate monomers, or as solvent for instance in its supercritical domain. In particular, ICGM produces poly(hydroxyurethanes) as alternative to polyurethane to avoid the use of isocyanate, by using carbonate/amine chemistry. ICGM is also interested in microalgae for the fixation of CO2. In addition, CO2 is also used at ICGM to form biobased carbonate monomers able to react by radical polymerization to prepare reactive biobased polymers bearing pendant carbonates. The polymer chemistry at ICGM is developed in solution, in bulk, but also by environmentally-friendly photopolymerization and aqueous emulsion polymerization.

Arts et Métiers Institute of technology - France Our expertise concerns the consideration of the life cycle thinking to design, redesign or validate a technology (product or service). We usually use methodologies like Material Flow Analysis (MFA), Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and design indicators (e.g. integration of recycled materials) in order to improve the new product / service (integrating ecodesign concept).
For LC-GD-3-2-2020: MFA and LCA can be applied in order to assess the possibility to set up a circular economy system and to be sure to don't have environmental impacts transfer
We were coordinating a proposal on Systematic Innovation for Enhancing Product Lifecycles in Furniture, and we would like to resubmit this project on the green deal call LC-GD-3-2-2020. Port of Brest, France The port of Brest is interested to join a consortium to contribute to the digital topic of the "Green Ports" call.
More precisely, our contribution would focus on best valorization of environmental (water quality, etc.) and maritime data (sea status, hydrographical data, meteo data, traffic one zone, dangers, etc.) using the new S100 standard family developed by the IHO and associated data models (web services).
This standard is a powerful basis to develop modern applications for shipping, ports and their communities. As example they allow accessing time dependent applications shared between the ship captain, pilots and the harbor master. Another example is the exploitation of same ocean data and models for environmental monitoring and for smart navigation. Last the model reinforces intrinsically security of digital data and service infrastructures.
With this standard port and shipping communities are entering a new era. Taking benefit requires a demonstrator in different EU ports to test the field of its applications in real size.

Our expertise concerns the consideration of the life cycle thinking to design, redesign or validate a technology (product or service). We usually use methodologies like Material Flow Analysis (MFA), Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and design indicators (e.g. integration of recycled materials) in order to improve the new product / service (integrating ecodesign concept).

For LC-GD-5-1-2020: MFA and LCA can be applied in order to assess the environmental impacts and identify the best multimodal hubs

We were coordinating a proposal on Systematic Innovation for Enhancing Product Lifecycles in Furniture, and we would like to resubmit this project on the green deal call LC-GD-3-2-2020. Our goal is to identify already forming consortia to see if we can include our idea into a bigger proposal, or make our project benefit from others partners.    Coordinateur

We are a group of experts in fruit tree species of the Rosaceae family (Malus, Pyrus and Prunus sp.). In particular we study phenotypes and genomes of crop-wild fruit tree complexes, and use comparative genomics and population genetics to unravel their evolutionary histories and adaptation capacity to biotic or abiotic stresses.

We propose our expertise in identifying and characterizing genetic diversity of those European native species in their natural habitats, to help understanding their decline and how to restore biodiversity in their native environment. We are French research institutes (INRAE, CNRS, Universities) which master molecular and statistical tools, as well as manage reference sample and genome collections, which are all indispensable to conduct optimal diversity characterization

The French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), France Our toxicology group can provide expertise in biomonitoring for the better understanding of the relevance of pollution to human health, the improvement of risk assessment and for the evaluation of the efficiency of depollution solutions.

The team studies for many years the toxicity of chemical and physical agents. It has a strong expertise in the effects of organic pollutants, nanoparticles, UV and ionizing radiations, metals and oxidative stress. In the recent years, our research has become increasingly interested in the study of mixture effects and their impact on risk assessment.

Emphasis has long been placed in our team on the formation and repair of DNA damage. In this field, our techniques include detection of DNA adducts (HPLC-mass spectrometry), DNA strand breaks (Comet assay) and imaging-based high throughput approaches. We also study various cellular response such as apoptosis, metabolism (PCR and western blot) and production of ROS. Our state-of-the-art HPLC-MS tools are also now used for the quantification of biomarkers in biological fluids. In our studies, we use human in vitro models (2D cultures, co-cultures, and organoids). We also work on in vivo samples in collaborative projects.

Public Research Lab, University of Pau LIUPPA Research Lab. is a well-known French Computer Science research lab.
One increasing research topic of the Research Lab is the Green Computing.

We already have several results on micro-services deployment on mobile infrastructure (heuristics, centralized and decentralized algorithms) as PC, smartphones, datacenters, edges, etc. and also have implemented a simulator able to execute various algorithms in order to test green oriented heuristics as well as simulate various hosts and of course their consumption.
We are currently working on the development of a design method to design and implement applications much less energy consumers for an equal Quality of Service.
